Programmes Unit

The Programmes Unit serves as the engine of Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana’s flagship Fellowship and leadership initiatives. They are dedicated to ensuring a transformative experience for every Fellow. The team manages the full cycle of programme delivery from placement and professional development to mentorship and long-term career growth.

Central to their work is the welfare and success of Fellows. The unit builds strong relationships with host institutions to ensure effective placements that align Fellows’ skills with national priorities. They also design and coordinate seminars, workshops, and training sessions that strengthen leadership capacity, ethical decision-making, and innovation in public service.

Through thoughtful planning, personalized support, and rigorous execution, the Programmes Unit guarantees that each initiative not only meets its objectives but also contributes meaningfully to Ghana’s broader governance and development goals. Their work ensures that every Fellow emerges ready to lead with integrity, excellence, and purpose.

Partnership and Sustainability Unit

The Partnership and Sustainability Unit serves as a key pillar in advancing the mission of Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana. Tasked with mobilizing resources and building strategic alliances, the unit plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation’s long-term growth and impact.

Through innovative proposal development, the team actively engages donors, corporate partners, and development agencies to secure funding that powers our flagship programmes and initiatives. Beyond fundraising, the unit cultivates and maintains strong, trust-based relationships with existing partners, ensuring collaboration remains purposeful, transparent, and mutually beneficial.

By aligning partnerships with our strategic priorities, the unit not only sustains operations but also amplifies our reach by enabling Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana to expand opportunities for young professionals and strengthen the country’s public service ecosystem.

Advocacy, Communication and Impact Unit (ACI)

The Advocacy, Communication and Impact Unit serves as the voice of Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana, shaping how the organization connects with the public, partners, and stakeholders. The unit leads strategic communication efforts that project a strong, positive image of EPL Ghana and highlight the transformative impact of our work.

Through storytelling, media engagement, and digital outreach, the team amplifies the achievements of our Fellows and programmes while driving advocacy on issues that strengthen governance and leadership in Ghana.

By influencing public dialogue, promoting accountability, and inspiring confidence in the power of ethical leadership, the unit ensures EPL Ghana’s voice contributes meaningfully to national conversations on public service excellence.

Gender Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Unit (Germel)

The Gender Research, Monitoring Evaluation Learning Unit (GERMEL) champions inclusivity, accountability, and impact within Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana. The unit integrates gender equity into all programmes and policies, ensuring that opportunities within EPL Ghana and across the public sector are accessible and empowering for all.

As the lead team behind the Women on the Rise initiative, the unit has reached hundreds of young women, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and networks to pursue leadership roles within Ghana’s public service. 

Beyond gender empowerment, the unit also oversees the monitoring and evaluation of all EPL Ghana programmes by tracking results, measuring progress, and ensuring that every initiative delivers a meaningful and lasting impact.

Through evidence-driven insights and a commitment to equality, the Gender, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit helps shape a more inclusive and effective future for Ghana’s public leadership.

Finance and Operations Unit (F&O)

The Finance and Operations Unit ensures the smooth and sustainable functioning of Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana. As the custodians of the organisation’s financial integrity and operational excellence, the unit manages budgeting, accounting, procurement, and internal controls that guarantee transparency and accountability.

Beyond financial oversight, the team supports the efficient delivery of all programmes by coordinating logistics, systems, and resources. Their work ensures that every initiative whether big or small runs effectively, responsibly, and is in alignment with EPL Ghana’s mission to strengthen leadership and governance across the public sector.
